Time & Location

Sep 14, 2024, 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM

Ski Shack, 200 Montage Mountain Rd, Moosic, PA 18507, USA

About the Event

We’ll start by meeting at Ski Shack where owner Melissa Roberts and Dannielle Bennett, of Connected Fungirl Wellness, will provide a brief educational workshop before leading us on a hike to identify local mushrooms and describe their uses.

We will learn tools and techniques to identify a variety of edible plants and mushrooms, gaining insights into their uses, benefits, preparations, and more. It's an ideal opportunity to connect with nature and deepen your understanding of the environment around you.

Please note that although we'll be discussing edible plants and mushrooms, we will not be harvesting or consuming them during this event. Complimentary warm chaga mushroom tea will be provided and mushroom-infused lip balm will be available for attendees to take home.

This hike will be held outdoors and may be rescheduled in the event of heavy storms. Make sure to wear treaded shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Don’t forget water! This event is suitable for ages 12 and older.
